I needed a little something this afternoon (this is a common trait of mine, no?) to go with my cup of decaf cafe au lait. So I got the food processor down and started pulling ingredients that sounded good. No recipe, just improv for food. The results are delicious! Very peanut buttery with a base of oats and almond meal, a touch of chocolate -two ways- and coconut just because.
Here's what went into them:
1/2 cup oats, ground to a coarse meal in the food processor
1/2 cup peanut butter, crunchy
1 Tablespoon almond meal
1 Tablespoon unsweetened coconut
1 Tablespoon chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
2 Tablespoons almond milk
1 teaspoon agave syrup
All the above blended up in the food processor and then molded into little balls. This made 14 Tablespoon size goodies.

I am so book marking this one! We just gave our 17-month-old peanut butter for the first time (and yay! no allergy!) and have been eating it non stop in our house ever since. have yet to try tree nuts but I think that will be soon so I can break out the almonds, I miss using almonds in everything!
Yeah! So glad to hear your little one can have peanut butter! Life with out nuts is, well, nuts! : D
oh my those look sooo good! anything with a 1/2 c of PB is automatically awesome :)
Those look yummy! You asked me about recommendations to learn how to knit cables, and I'm hunting around for some resources to recommend. I actually learned how to knit cables while on a phone call with my grandmother. I couldn't quite understand what the pattern was telling me to do, so I called my grandma and she explained it, and thus I started knitting cables. :) But my friend recently showed me a wonderful book that she is using to learn to knit cables and I think it would be a great resource. As soon as I find out the name of the book from her I will let you know. Thank you for sharing my blog with your mom, too. That's sweet! My mom just decided to take up knitting YESTERDAY (even though her mother is the one who taught me to knit, it just never interested her before).
Enjoyed your reply on my blog post this morning. Thank you for sending your friends my way! Like your friend mentioned on her FB, knitting is nearly always a model for life. I wrote not long ago that everything I need to know I learned while knitting. And it's true!
I hope you can find the book. I looked through it while my friend was visiting and it looked like a wonderful tutorial for cables. Very helpful!
So you are in Washington state? We lived there early in our marriage and our first two boys were born in Spokane.
Wow, these look scrumptious!!!!!! So yummy! I think I must go make them now!!!!!
It's so nice to see that you're back after being out of service! I love those "pantry recipes" that you just toss together and they turn out SO well! I far prefer throwing those together over precisely measured recipes where I don't have all the ingredients when I'm ready to eat it.
Is that a C&B plate? It's beautiful :)
